MEDIATION

As its primary mission, Maisano Mediation, LLC provides confidential and skilled mediation services to parties involved in employment, civil rights and other civil litigation and administrative discrimination charges. The goal of mediation is prompt and cost-effective resolution that addresses the needs of both parties and fully resolves the dispute.

Mediation is also an important tool to prevent a communication issue or a negative work group dynamic from becoming a formal, litigated dispute. When applied in the early stages of a dispute and in the context of a continued employment relationship, mediation is an essential tool to repair relationships, address hidden issues and solve the underlying problems. The earlier the parties engage in mediation, the less risk of costly and time-consuming litigation.

Mediation fees apply to preparation time, mediation conference time and follow up time and are billed after the mediation conference.  Participants may choose an hourly fee structure or a flat, day rate.  Maisano Mediation does not charge additional administrative fees.  For mediations outside of the Seattle metropolitan area, travel costs are included in the invoice, but Maisano Mediation does not charge for travel time.
